A Deeper Look

I was once told that I overanalyze things too much, where I unintentionally look way deeper than the surface of things just to find more meaning of the given topic. Those around me during these intense analyzation moments are lucky enough to hear my thoughts aloud rambling until I reach a conclusion; I probably should’ve been a Psych major now that I think about it. I’m not sure why I always end up doing it, but I always come to a certain understanding that makes me see things in a different light.

I will be doing this on the site. Especially with quotes which will often clarify what the quote means and most likely find some sort of relativity to your life and what you are going through at the moment. If you have any other meanings that can also work, don’t hesitate to leave a comment.

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started” – Mark Twain

When getting started in anything, people always think that there needs to be this elaborate plan; which is very important in achieving a goal or dream. But people get so caught up on the planning stage that they never get around to starting and all of that planning turns into fantasy.

Becoming a perfectionist with planning can be a bad thing almost as much as it can be a good thing. You start feeling anxious if everything is not right, or if you haven’t planned past a certain level. That’s good to feel that, but not before you start. The power of actually taking steps towards something is extremely underrated.

How many times have you started actively taking steps towards your goals, no matter how small, and start realizing that things around you are changing? It’s the law of attraction. For example, if you want to learn a new language and you download an app to help you (shoutout to Duolingo) then a couple days later you’ll randomly notice that you come across your favourite movie/show in that given language you want to learn. That’s just one of many examples.

The resources start to fall in your lap and make things easier for you to achieve your goal if you let it. The phrase here is “if you let it”, and how to do that cannot be easier, find the first step, and start.

Good luck!
